Miss Ripley Korean Drama, Synopsis, Korean Drama 2011. Two very different men fall in love with Jang Mi Ri, a woman whose life is a complicated web of lies, propelled by her greedy desires that stem from an unfortunate childhood. Jang Myung Hoon is an ambitious hotelier who maintains perfect control of himself and his life, while Yutaka is the warm and gentle heir of a Korean-Japanese hotel conglomerate. Their love for Mi Ri and her tragic ambition eventually leads them down the path of destruction.

Miss Ripley Korean Drama, Synopsis, Korean Drama 2011. Ripley is inspired by infamous real case of Shn Jung Ah, a professor and curator at Dongguk University who with the help of her boyfriend forged her academic credentials.


In Ripley, Lee Da Hae is an orphan, adopted in Japan then came back to Korea and forged her academic credentials to get a job in a hotel.

Based on the true story of Shin Jeong-Ah who once worked as a professor of art at Dongguk University and chief curator at Sungkok Art Museum. She was then elected as artistic co-director for the 2008 Gwangju Biennale (one of Korea's biggest art events). It was then revealed that Shin Jeong-Ah forged her college credentials (a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas and a Ph.D. from Yale University) and was fired from her positions. Shin Jeong-Ah served 18 months in prison. She was also romantically linked to former presidential aide Byeon Yang-Kyoon, who helped Shin Jeong-Ah gain employment at Dongguk University.
